India Home is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of South Asian older adults through culturally appropriate social services.
We bring older adults together through shared meals, meaningful activities, and support that respects their languages, cultures, and traditions. From building friendships to navigating essential services, we help our members stay connected, informed, and engaged.
Our mission
To improve the quality of life of vulnerable South Asian older adults through culturally appropriate social services.
Who we serve
Different backgrounds. Shared connections. A welcoming community.
India Home serves South Asian adults ages 60 and older, regardless of income, faith, or country of origin. Our community includes people from across South Asia and its global diaspora, bringing together many languages, traditions, and life experiences.
Growing older in a new country can come with challenges, from language barriers and unfamiliar services to loneliness and financial insecurity. We offer a welcoming space where older adults can find companionship, celebrate their cultures, and get support with everyday needs.
Through culturally familiar meals, wellness activities, educational programs, and connections to essential resources, we help our members build friendships and maintain their independence. We also advocate for better language access, transportation, and services that reflect the needs of immigrant older adults.
