Hope you all are keeping warm and safe in the Bomb snow storm.

Good Morning,
When we took comedian Mehmood to meet well known actress Leela Chitnis in Connecticut nursing home, she didn’t recognize him due to her old age and memory loss. Well, Mehmooddidn’t disappointed. He started singing Kangan (1939), Bandhan (1940), and Jhoola (1941) songs were a series of highly successful films produced by the legendary studio Bombay Talkies, often featuring the iconic pair of Ashok Kumar and Leela Chitnis…
Guess what, Leelatai’s memory came back. She started singing with Mehmood and alsorecognized him..! Mehmood was so happy and said, “Kulakrnisab, आज आपने मेरी हजकी यात्रा करवाई. आज मैं सचमुच हाजी बन गया..!
Though wheel-chair bound Mehmood had been in poor health for several years which included a collapsed lung and heart issues with bypass surgery and failing lungs with an oxygen pipe. We do admire his माणुसकी – Humanity – Kindness चांगुलपणा – Goodness…

where Leelatai was…
2) I am with Leelatai and Mehmood…
3) Mehmood was videotaping and singing
Leelatai’s songs from her films…
4) Mehmood was overwhelmed with joy…
The essence or summary of the issue is:
Music acts as a powerful, direct cue for autobiographical memory by simultaneously activating emotional and sensory brain regions, often transporting listeners back to specific past moments. Songs become intertwined with memories, serving as a “soundtrack” to life events and, due to high familiarity, often evoking more consistent, vivid, and positive memories than other sensory cues…
Stay warm and safe with best regards,
Jayant & Veena.
Sharing is Caring…
