Memories..!

Since The Harlem Globetrotters are celebrating their 100th anniversary in 2026 marking a century of basketball entertainment..!

Dear All,
Proud to share my memories about America’s two well known Basketball players, one is Meadowlark Lemon and other is Derril Dawkins with pride, some 30 years ago.
As you may know, Meadowlark Lemon (1932–2015) 6′-3″ was a legendary Harlem Globetrotter known as the “Clown Prince of Basketball,” playing over 7,500 consecutive games and 16,000 total games for the team from 1954 to 1978. He was famous for his half-court hook shot, comedic skits, and for popularizing the team worldwide…

Above: I met two legendary tallest and famous Basketball players: Derryl Dawkins and Meadowlark Lemon personally… Here you will see 1) Derryl Dawkins on left signed photo and 2-3) Meadowlark Lemon with personal signs note and  his photo with published book cover…
Below: 1) Meadowlark Lemon entertaining crowd and 2-3-4) Mr. Dunk Derril Dawkins…
Darryl R. Dawkins alias Mr. Dunk (January 11, 1957 – August 27, 2015) 6′ 11″
was an American professional basketball player and coach. A three-time NBA finalist center,
he most notably played for the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets with brief
tenures at the Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz later on…

Best regards,
Jayant.
